We spent Labor day-week-whatever camping on Lake Wenatchee. Yup, 2008 proved to be a genuine Washington State summer---rain on the 4th of July and rain on Labor Day. Although the weather didn't cooperate as such, we made some new friends, experienced the "great American camping weekend" as an empty Glacier View Campground fill beyond capacity, and even got in a bit of hiking with the kids and mountain biking.
