Westward with Widespread Panic

After kickin it to some great jams at the Bonnaroo festival, we had some wind in our sails, so we pointed the truck west, spending some time along the way, camping off road in Tennessee, Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, Utah and Oregon. The temps just kept on getting cooler as we got closer to home.

The Bonnaroo Music and Art Fest in Manchester, Tennessee.

Amaya sleeps through a Widespread Panic show.

Gateway Arch in St. Louis, Missouri. We started to finally feel the westward expansion.

Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado.

Our camp at about 10,000 feet in Colorado.

Taking a walk in Dinosaur National Monument, Utah.

We are finally back in Longview, Washington where we'll celebrate the Independence holiday and get ready for a big fat summer of fun.

Utah to Mississippi

After six weeks, we're still roadtrippin'... with so many images, here are a select few:

MWF with The Ballerina's Leg, Utah.

The last rays of the day at Kodachrome Basin State Park, Utah.

Duckin out of a thundershower, just off the Hole in the Rock Road, Escalante National Monument, Utah.

This bumble-bee checks the pollen count.

We hid out from a stormy Memorial Day weekend at what we called "Blue Cowboy Camp."

After climbing around on a walkabout near Dance Hall Rocks, I came upon this awesome waterhole deep within the sandstone desert (that's my shadow above the mysterious oasis).

Utah is the place for hidin' out.

A bend in the Colorado River, near Hite, Utah.

The obligatory stop in Monument Valley, Arizona.

Here's our camp in the Santa Fe National Forest, New Mexico.

From Albuquerque, NM we visited some friends just outside of Dallas, Texas then moved on over to the Busby family farm, AKA carefree, near Ellisville, Mississippi. Southern Hospitality and farm fresh organics were never so good!

Uncle Martin takes Amaya for a tour of Carefree Farm (Amaya later moved up front and drove).

Fishin' catfish and bass for supper.

Amaya displays her first catch of the day.

Shellin black-eyed-purple-hulled peas with Aunt Sue while the giant tomatoes prep for jarring.

This is way more fun than mountain biking... Yee Haw!
